Experience
Event Organiser at The Norwich Gaming Festival
January 2014 - April 2014 (4 months)
Working in my capacity as co-organiser of Norfolk Game Developers I was part of a small team of 2 volunteers and 2 professionals organising the 10 day festival. The festival was held at one the largest public venues in Norwich, The Forum, and celebrated gaming development, culture and playing! Running 7th - 16th April the festival benefited from support from UKIE, NUA and was powered and supported by high-street retailers GAME. Please see: www.norwichgamingfestival.wordpress.com
Graphic Artist at Norfolk Tech Journal
September 2013 - April 2014 (8 months)
Working as part of an excellent volunteer team which design, write and produce the Journal each month. The Journal is all about "putting Norfolk on the Technology Map", something I am really committed to. I work as the cover artist for the Journal, and help with the design elements also - I was taught a lot about design for print, and the dynamics of working to deadlines with a team remotely.
Graphics Department - Placement at The Sunday Times
August 2013 - August 2013 (1 month)
Working at The Sunday Times allowed me the rare experience of working in the fast-paced environment of a weekly newspaper. Using Illustrator extensively during my placement I was lucky enough to have a good portion of my graphics featured in the paper on Sunday 25th August - and even a credit on page 9.
